Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç made evaluations regarding the concert investigations initiated against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB). In response to İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's statement, "This is harassment directed at us, it is judicial harassment. It is clear that it is being done by order and instruction. It doesn't matter," Minister Tunç replied, "There is no need for a sense of guilt. When speaking about the judiciary, one should not overstep the bounds. The judiciary does not take orders from anyone."

The Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu, reacted to the investigation initiated by the Inspection Board of the Ministry of Interior upon the request of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding cancer and other expenses.

İMAMOĞLU: IT IS CLEARLY DONE BY ORDER AND INSTRUCTION

İmamoğlu stated, "This operation is supposed to be an inspection, but unfortunately, this operation is being carried out through the media and political institutions, sadly through the judiciary that we all entrust ourselves to. Let me clearly say, this has entered the literature. From now on, I hope it will not come to the country's agenda again, but unfortunately, it is clear that this understanding will continue until it comes to power; This is outright judicial harassment. It is harassment applied to us, judicial harassment. It is clear that it is done by order and instruction. It doesn't matter; it goes away."

MINISTER TUNÇ: THERE IS NO NEED FOR A SENSE OF GUILT

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, who made evaluations today regarding the concert investigations initiated against İBB and ABB, stated, "An investigation has been initiated into a number of organizations of ABB and İBB. The Ministry of Interior sent inspectors. The supervision of municipalities is at stake. They are subject to both the Court of Accounts and the Ministry of Interior's inspection. There is no need to shy away from the inspection. If you have no deficiencies here, there is no need for panic. There is no need for a sense of guilt. When speaking about the judiciary, one must not overstep the bounds. The judiciary does not take orders from anyone."

"THE JUDICIARY IS NOT ANYONE'S BACKYARD"

Evaluating the investigations as judicial harassment is a lack of awareness. If you make statements like this, the public will wonder, "Do you have something to hide?" It is necessary to be careful when making statements regarding the judiciary. The judiciary is not anyone's backyard."
