Minister Tunç's statement on the Narin case: The reasoned decision will put an end to all discussions.

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç evaluated the investigation and judicial process following the murder of Narin Güran. Stating that the investigation is being conducted transparently, Tunç said, "We hope that some discussions in the public will come to an end after the reasoned decision is revealed. In the reasoned decision, it will be clearer which evidence supports which allegations."

After 19 days of being missing in Diyarbakır, the lifeless body of Narin Güran was found, and in the murder trial, the detained defendants, mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran, were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, while the informant Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.



"EVIDENCE CLEARLY REVEALED THE DEFENDANTS' CRIMES"



Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç evaluated the investigation and judicial process following the murder. Emphasizing that the investigation related to the murder was conducted meticulously, Minister Tunç stated, "All evidence was collected throughout the investigation. All kinds of evidence, such as DNA tests, camera recordings, and HTS data, were used. The evidence that emerged clearly revealed the defendants' crimes."



"REASONED DECISION WILL END DEBATES"



Evaluating the court's decision, Minister Tunç stated in an interview with Sabah newspaper, "This decision has satisfied the conscience of our nation. We hope that after the reasoned decision is released, some debates in the public will come to an end. In the reasoned decision, it will be clearer which evidence supports which accusations."



"COURT PROCESS WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED"



Emphasizing that the case was concluded in two hearings without delay, Minister Tunç said, "The impression we received from the public is that the court successfully conducted the process, and the decision made without delay is a situation where justice has been served."



EVIDENCE TAMPERING INVESTIGATION



Minister Tunç stated that another investigation regarding evidence tampering in the Narin Güran murder case is ongoing, saying, "The Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting a separate investigation into evidence tampering. So far, 8 people have been arrested in this investigation. After it is completed, a necessary indictment will be prepared regarding that matter."
