Minister Uraloğlu: Those under 16 should not be allowed to open social media accounts.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made striking statements during a live broadcast program he attended.

Uraloğlu expressed that it is essential to discipline those under the age of 16, stating that this age group should not be allowed to open social media accounts.

"THOSE UNDER 16 SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS"

Minister Uraloğlu said, "Some movies state this, and when you search on Google, it asks for +18 age. Let's consider a person under 16 who enters just to play games or chat with friends. If you are taking them to other places, encouraging them, or inciting them, that is something else. We can leave it to the choice of those who have reached a level to make such choices. However, I personally believe that those under 16 should really be disciplined and should not be able to open social media accounts. We are consulting with many ministries and institutions on this issue."
