Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya warned drivers to comply with traffic rules due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, stating, "Following traffic rules, being careful on the roads, and especially avoiding fatigue is essential; you should take frequent breaks. Remember our slogan, 'Traffic rules save lives. One rule, one lifetime,' and never let it slip from your minds."

Interior Minister Yerlikaya performed the holiday prayer at the Martyrs Mosque located in the Special Operations Regional Directorate in his hometown, Konya.

CRITICAL WARNING FROM MINISTER YERLİKAYA

In a statement after the prayer, Minister Yerlikaya warned drivers to comply with traffic rules due to the Eid al-Adha. Yerlikaya said, "First of all, I congratulate the blessed Eid al-Adha of all our citizens watching us on their screens, especially my fellow citizens from Konya. I pray that God grants us many more holidays in an environment of peace, tranquility, health, and well-being."

I congratulate the holidays of all our brothers in our heartland, especially in Gaza and Palestine. We pray together with all our brothers this holiday morning for them to be freed from this genocide they have suffered as soon as possible. I congratulate each of the 675,000 friends working in the Ministry of Interior, especially the police, gendarmerie, and coast guard, who work tirelessly for the peace and security of our country, on their holiday.

"TRAFFIC RULES SAVE LIVES"

I remember our martyrs and veterans with mercy. I wish health, wellness, and well-being to our veterans who are alive. I first congratulate the holidays of all our brothers who are on the roads for the holiday and wish them a journey without accidents or misfortunes. We always express this. We said it many times before the holiday. We will continue to say it again during the holiday and after the holiday. It is important to comply with traffic rules, to be careful on the roads, and especially not to drive when tired, and to take frequent breaks. Remember our slogan 'Traffic rules save lives. A rule, a lifetime' and never let it slip from your minds."
