A person who attacked the Turkish flag in the city of El Bab in Syria has been captured as a result of the operation by the Turkish National Intelligence Agency (MIT). The individual, named Ahmed Nana, stated, "I took it down from where it was waving. This flag has become the shroud of the martyrs who fought against common enemies of the Turkish state, Turkish people, and the free Syrian people. I sincerely apologize for my irresponsible behavior." After saying this, he kissed the Turkish flag.

The individuals who provoked the Turkish flag in northern Syria were captured through the operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization. According to information obtained from security sources, after the incidents targeting refugees in Kayseri and some other cities on June 30, provocations against Turkey occurred in northern Syria.

THE FIRST PROVOCATEUR, 17 YEARS OLD, WAS CAPTURED

In order to capture the suspects who attacked the Turkish flag and attempted to act against Turkish security forces during these incidents, the National Intelligence Organization, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Defense, and law enforcement agencies initiated a joint operation. As a result of the operations carried out by the National Intelligence Organization, a 17-year-old suspect who attacked the Turkish flag in the city of El Bab in Syria was captured.

The person who kissed the flag and apologized in front of the Turkish flag stated, "I attacked the Turkish flag, I am very sorry, I apologize to the Turkish people." Security forces have initiated an operation to capture those who incited the suspect.

"WE MADE THIS MISTAKE BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED IN KAYSERI"

In their statements, two suspects who participated in provocations against Turkey in northern Syria also apologized to Turkey and the Turkish people. The captured suspect stated, "My brother and I made this mistake because we were affected by the incidents in Kayseri, our intention was not to defame the Turkish people. We have both religious and racial ties with the Turkish people. The Turkish people have hosted millions of Syrian refugees. The Turkish army has always been by our side. I apologize to the Turkish government again."

The suspects stated that they have been contacted by various institutions, including the Syrian Interim Government, and they have expressed that they were wrong.

SECOND PROVOCATEUR WHO LOWERED THE TURKISH FLAG WAS ALSO CAPTURED

Another suspect who was identified as the one who lowered the Turkish flag in the region was captured. The suspect Ahmed Nana stated in his statement that they made a mistake under the pressure of social media platforms and the provocation of certain groups.

Nana, who stated that he attacked the Turkish flag in a way that does not suit him, said in his statement: "I took it down from where it was waving. This flag has become the shroud of those who were martyred in the joint struggle of the Turkish state, the Turkish people, and the free Syrian people against common enemies. I apologize with all my heart for this irresponsible behavior I displayed. I also apologize to my ancestors who held this flag high and did not let it fall. I ask for your forgiveness for this behavior in the name of Islamic brotherhood and our shared history." Nana, who apologized to the Turkish people for falling into this fitnah, kissed the Turkish flag.
