MIT involved to reduce tension in Syria.

02.07.2024 00:51

The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has taken action regarding the provocations in northern Syria, which has been cleared of terrorism by the Turkish Armed Forces. In a statement made by security sources, it was stated that "The National Intelligence Organization is actively working in the field to control the situation, ensure calm and security in Syria, and President Erdogan is regularly informed about the issue and coordination is established with all institutions in the field."

As tension escalates in the areas controlled by the Turkish military through the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring Operations in Syria, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has also gone on high alert.

Following the incident of child abuse against a 5-year-old girl in Kayseri, the echoes of the events that erupted in the city continue, and today there was also unrest in the areas controlled by Turkey through the Euphrates Shield operation in Syria. In Azez, El Bab, and Afrin, a provocative group attacked trucks coming from Turkey. The provocative individuals also launched an ugly attack on Turkish flags.

MIT TAKES ACTION

After the provocations, MIT also intervened. In a statement from security sources, it was stated that "The National Intelligence Organization is conducting intensive work in the field in order to bring the situation under control, ensure calm and security in Syria, and Mr. President is regularly informed about the issue and coordination is established with all institutions in the field."

WHAT HAPPENED?

On the evening of June 30, incidents occurred in Kayseri following the sexual abuse of a 5-year-old girl by a foreign national in the Melikgazi district. The provocative incidents also spread to the areas controlled by the Turkish military through the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring Operations in Syria. In a video shared on social media, it was seen that the provocateurs tried to enter the building used by the Turkish army and the soldiers tried to disperse the demonstrators by firing shots into the air. The footage also showed trucks going from Turkey to Syria and vehicles with Turkish license plates being stoned.
