Motorcycle operation in Eyüpsultan: 58 people caught, 14 of them children

Acting on the dangerous maneuvers of motorcycle drivers in traffic in Eyüpsultan, teams carried out a comprehensive inspection. In the operation at the TEM South Cebeci Tunnel location, 58 suspects, including 14 children, were caught, while the drivers' licenses and motorcycles were seized for 120 days.

An operation was carried out in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district targeting drivers who performed acrobatic stunts with motorcycles, endangering traffic safety. In the implementation at the TEM South Cebeci Tunnel location, 58 suspects, including 14 children, were apprehended. All suspects were referred to judicial authorities.

DANGEROUS STUNTS DREW THE ATTENTION OF THE TEAMS

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Traffic Enforcement Branch carried out an operation targeting motorcycle drivers in Eyüpsultan on August 22.

During the inspections conducted around the TEM South Cebeci Tunnel, it was determined that some drivers were performing acrobatic stunts with their motorcycles, endangering traffic safety with these actions.

58 SUSPECTS, INCLUDING 14 CHILDREN, WERE APPREHENDED

In the checks carried out by the teams, a total of 58 suspects were apprehended, including 14 individuals under the age of 18.

Administrative fines were imposed on the drivers under the Highway Traffic Law. Additionally, their driver's licenses were confiscated for a period of 120 days.

MOTORCYCLES WERE ALSO BANNED FROM TRAFFIC

The motorcycles used by the individuals apprehended within the scope of the operation were also banned from traffic for a period of 120 days.

Legal proceedings were initiated against all 58 suspects, whose procedures were completed, on the charge of "Endangering traffic safety."

ALL WERE REFERRED TO JUDICIAL AUTHORITIES

The 58 apprehended suspects were referred to judicial authorities on August 23 after their procedures at the police station.

The investigation and judicial process regarding the incident are ongoing.
