The interrogation of Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek and his former daughter-in-law Zeynep Kerimoğlu, who were detained as part of a bribery investigation, has been completed at the Antalya Police Department. Mayor Böcek was taken to the courthouse in a police vehicle. Instead of exiting through the door where journalists were waiting, Böcek was led out through the protocol entrance, and the vehicle he was in arrived at the Antalya Courthouse.
The operations of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who was detained along with his former daughter-in-law Zeynep Kerimoğlu in the bribery investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been completed. Böcek and Kerimoğlu were referred to the courthouse.
DETENTION OF MUHİTTİN BÖCEK AND HIS DAUGHTER-IN-LAW IN THE BRIBERY INVESTIGATION
As part of the "bribery" investigation initiated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order was issued for Mayor Böcek and two suspects. In a statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that Mayor Böcek and his former daughter-in-law Zeynep Kerimoğlu were detained, while Böcek's son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek, who also has a detention order against him, was reported to be abroad.
The statement said, "In the investigation conducted regarding the bribery crime involving two different actions against three suspects, search, seizure, and detention operations have been carried out." The teams of the Provincial Security Directorate's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department completed the search at the suspects' addresses.

The statement-taking procedures of Böcek and Kerimoğlu at the police station have been completed. Both Böcek and Kerimoğlu were referred to the Antalya Courthouse.
DETAILS OF THE BRIBERY INVESTIGATION
According to the information in the investigation file, during the 2024 local elections, Böcek's son M.G. Böcek allegedly requested 25 million lira related to election activities during a meeting at the office of businessman Y.Y. It was claimed that after this amount was not met, an agreement was made with the businessman for a payment of 8.5 million lira in exchange for vehicle wrapping services.
In a different detail in the file, it was alleged that in February, M.G. Böcek purchased a house for 30 million lira from a construction company in the name of his ex-wife Z.K., and that this amount was paid to the construction company in three installments by businessman Y.Y.
It was learned that the bank account movements and receipts related to the payment made to the company were included in the MASAK reports.
