The family, which was etched in memory due to the Münevver Karabulut murder that shook Turkey years ago, entered the new year once again with pain. It has been revealed that Hüseyin Karabulut, Münevver's uncle, and Hafize Karabulut, his aunt, lost their lives in a traffic accident that occurred in the Susurluk district of Balıkesir.
Seventeen years ago, the family that became etched in memory due to the murder of Münevver Karabulut experienced another great pain on the first day of the new year. In a traffic accident that occurred in the Susurluk district of Balıkesir, Münevver Karabulut's uncle Hüseyin Karabulut and aunt Hafize Karabulut lost their lives.
THE CAR ROLLED INTO THE DITCH
The accident occurred in the Ömerköy area of Susurluk district in Balıkesir, on the Istanbul direction of the İzmir–Istanbul Highway. According to the information obtained, a car with the license plate 34 FBC 585 went out of control for an unknown reason and rolled into the ditch. Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.
HER AUNT DIED AT THE SCENE
In the initial check conducted by the teams, it was determined that Hafize Karabulut, who was in the vehicle, lost her life at the scene. Hüseyin Karabulut, who was injured in the accident, and Navruza Mavlonova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, were removed from the vehicle and handed over to the health teams.
UNCLE PASSED AWAY IN THE HOSPITAL
The injured were taken to Susurluk State Hospital after the first intervention. However, Hüseyin Karabulut, who was the brother of Münevver Karabulut's father Süreyya Karabulut, could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors.
THEY WERE FAREWELLED TO THEIR FINAL JOURNEY IN THEIR HOMETOWN
The deceased Hüseyin Karabulut and his wife Hafize Karabulut were buried after the funeral prayer held in the Hoşcanlar neighborhood of Kayabaşı village in Mengen district of Bolu. Family relatives and villagers attended the funeral.
THE MURDER THAT SHOOK TURKEY REMEMBERED AGAIN
Münevver Karabulut was brutally murdered by Cem Garipoğlu in Bahçeşehir on March 3, 2009, and the murder occupied Turkey's agenda for many years. Garipoğlu passed away in prison in 2014, and discussions regarding his death continued for years. Due to public suspicions, his grave was opened 15 years later for DNA examination.
