The horrifying incident occurred after 17-year-old H.N.D. told her father, 'My boyfriend abused me.' The suspect, her boyfriend, was attacked by the father with an axe that he took from home as he passed by their street.

HE ESCAPED THE AXE STRIKES AT THE LAST MOMENT

The incident took place last night in the Fatih Kocamustafapaşa neighborhood. According to the information obtained, 17-year-old H.N.D. told her father, İlker Demirdöven, that her 28-year-old boyfriend had abused her in recent days. Upon hearing his daughter's statements, İlker Demirdöven saw Kadir İ.Y., who was passing by their street on a motorcycle. Father Demirdöven attempted to attack the suspect with the axe he took from home. Kadir İ.Y., who escaped the axe strikes, fled the scene on foot, while father Demirdöven damaged the motorcycle.

THE SUSPECT BOYFRIEND WAS DETAINED

Upon receiving a tip-off, police teams arrived at the scene and took H.N.D. and her father, İlker Demirdöven, to the police station for their statements. The teams later detained Kadir İ.Y. based on the abuse allegation after their investigation. A neighborhood resident, Emre Can, said, "I was passing by here. I saw a guy tearing apart a motorcycle on the ground. I don't know exactly why he attacked, but from what I heard, the girl's father is seeing his daughter with her boyfriend, and that's why he is attacking."

RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL

Kadir İ.Y., whose procedures were completed at the police station, was referred to the courthouse. He was released by the court under judicial control conditions.
