Naci Görür highlighted the importance of urban transformation after the Antalya earthquake.

According to the data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 occurred off the coast of Gazipaşa district in Antalya yesterday at 22:13. Kandilli reported that the earthquake occurred in the Mediterranean and stated that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.2. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) also reported that the epicenter of the earthquake, which it announced as 4.8, was off the coast of Cyprus.

Prof. Dr. Naci Görür, one of Turkey's leading earthquake experts, made statements following the earthquake in Antalya. In a statement on his social media account, Görür once again called for the construction of earthquake-resistant cities.

Görür, who stated that he has made warnings and recommendations regarding earthquakes in every city he visits, said, "I do not say that there will definitely be an earthquake in the places I go, or that it will happen at this time, because we do not know. We also announce the places where we expect earthquakes. But I say this, since we will face disasters sooner or later, to a greater or lesser extent, let’s make our cities disaster-resilient, let’s demand that. Please do not open your mouth for your own purposes as soon as we start talking, do not make headlines, do not use me to do something for yourselves, I kindly ask you, with love," he expressed.

In another post, Görür stated, "A 5.2 earthquake occurred in the Helen-Cyprus subduction zone. If you pay attention, it happened off the coast of Antalya Bay, get well soon," he said.
