Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, broke everyone's heart. The search efforts that have been going on for days brought sad news. The lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin was found in the stream.

21 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY

After the lifeless body of Narin was found, 21 people, including family members, were taken into custody. While all suspicions were directed towards family members, an incident attracted attention.

"GO AHEAD AND LIE, OKAY?"

A woman who was close to the little girl standing in front of the funeral waiting room where Narin's lifeless body was brought shouted, "Go ahead and lie, okay?" The woman, whose arm was held, was later silenced by being punched by a man next to her.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Narin Güran, who went to a Quran course in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district on August 21, did not return home after the course, so her family searched for her on their own. When no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father, Arif Güran, reported that his daughter was missing on the same day around 20:00. As a result, numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village.

While the search efforts were ongoing, E.G. (18), Narin Güran's brother, was taken into custody due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released.

Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was taken into custody. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his car matched the DNA samples on Narin's clothes, was arrested on charges of "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty".

The teams, who focused on previously searched areas again, conducted a search in Eğertutmaz Stream, 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was killed and thrown into the stream with a sack, and her body was covered with stones.
