National wrestler Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.

Our national wrestler Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, who represents our country in the 68 kg category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, faced Sol Gum Pak from North Korea for the bronze medal at the Champ de Mars Arena. Buse had earned the right to compete in the repechage after reaching the final by defeating Amit Elor from the USA, whom she had lost to in the first round, yesterday.

WON WITH 10 SECONDS LEFT

Buse defeated her opponent 4-2 with 10 seconds left, becoming the owner of the bronze medal. Buse Tosun Çavuşoğlu, who became the second Turkish female wrestler to win an Olympic medal, brought our country its third medal at the Paris Olympic Games.

3RD MEDAL IN PARIS

Turkey had previously won a silver medal in shooting with the national team consisting of Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan, and a bronze medal in the mixed 10m air pistol category with the national team consisting of Mete Gazoz, Muhammed Abdullah Yıldırmış, and Ulaş Berkim Tümer in archery at Paris 2024.
