Natural gas consumption support payments have started.

The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, stated that payments for the winter period of the Regular Natural Gas Consumption Support Program have begun, and they will make a total payment of 153.3 million lira to 521,411 beneficiaries.

Göktaş reminded in a written statement that the Regular Natural Gas Consumption Support has been implemented since 2022.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE MADE THROUGH E-GOVERNMENT

Göktaş explained that those in need who want to benefit from the support can apply through the "Social Assistance Application Service" screen provided by the Ministry on the e-Government portal, stating that applications are meticulously reviewed by the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYD), and payments are made after approval is granted.

Göktaş reported that the Natural Gas Consumption Support ranges from 188 lira to 438 lira per month and is calculated based on varying amounts from province to province, and he added: Payments for the winter period of the Regular Natural Gas Consumption Support Program have started. In this context, we will make a total payment of 153.3 million lira to 521,411 beneficiaries. Thus, during the period covering January to November of this year, we will have made approximately 1.4 billion lira in payments to 653,461 beneficiaries. Citizens who will benefit from the support can present their bills related to their residential type subscriptions at PTT payment points to benefit from the support.

CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

To benefit from the support, it is necessary to be a Turkish citizen, reside in a district/town where natural gas supply is provided, apply for the support program through the e-Government portal, have a natural gas subscription linked to a prepaid or billed meter at the residence address, ensure that the bill to be paid belongs to the residential subscriber group, and have a decision of entitlement granted by the relevant SYD Foundation.
