NBA: Spurs Stun Rockets In Double OT, Harden Scores 50

04.12.2019 10:57

San Antonio Spurs beat Houston Rockets 135 133 in Tuesday's thriller, Rockets superstar Harden drops 50 points.

The San Antonio Spurs managed to stand up against a 50-point, a 22 point - 21 rebound and a triple double performance -- all coming from different players -- against the Houston Rockets to grab a thrilling victory on Tuesday night.

The Spurs beat the Rockets 135-133 in double overtime, even though James

Harden produced 50 points against rivals in Tuesday's NBA thriller.

The Spurs' Lonnie Walker IV scored a critical three point near the end of the fourth quarter, taking the match to the overtime.

In the second overtime, Spurs led the clash 134-133 after their forward DeMar DeRozan scored his free throws.

Three seconds to the buzzer, Harden made a turnover after an offensive foul against DeRozan, a critical mistake of Harden causing the away loss.

Walker IV, who was fouled by Rockets, made one of his two free throws to clinch the win. He scored a career-high 28 points off the bench.

Fresh off a 60-point outburst against the Atlanta Hawks, Harden hit all of his 24 free throws en route to a 50-point game, but Spurs managed to stun the Rockets.

However, Harden shot 11-for-38 from the field, including 4-for-20 from the three point line.

Clint Capela -- another Rockets regular -- made 'double-double', scoring 22 points and grabbing 21 rebounds.

The Houston Rockets guard Russell Westbrook tallied a triple double, with 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for his team, but shot an abysmal 7-for-30 from the field.

Three Spurs players scored at least 20 points each as Walker IV dropped 28, Bryn Forbes produced 25 and DeRozan scored 23 points against Rockets.

The Rockets are currently in the fifth place in the Western Conference standings with 13-7 win/loss record.

Still in the 12th spot in the West, the Spurs are trying to bounce back to the 500. mark, they won 8 games but lost 14 this season.

Top eight teams from each conference -- the West and the East -- will advance to the NBA playoffs.

James, Davis combine for 50 in Lakers win

Superstar duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined for 50 points -- each player scoring 25 -- to beat the Denver Nuggets 105-96 on Tuesday night in Denver.

For the Los Angeles Lakers, James also had 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Davis grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with his 25 points.

The Lakers' bench scored 42 points, Dwight Howard chipped in with 13 points and Rajon Rondo added 11 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Jamal Murray scored 22 points, Paul Millsap added 21 points for the Nuggets, but they could not beat the Lakers, who have the best record in the Western Conference with 18 wins and 3 losses.
