Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that progress has been made in the indirect negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Knesset in a speech where he evaluated the ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.

"PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE IN THE NEGOTIATIONS"

Netanyahu stated that progress has been made in the prisoner exchange negotiations, emphasizing that he could not provide a specific date for when the agreement would take its final form. "I cannot tell you everything we are doing, but we are taking significant steps at every level," said Netanyahu, noting that they would continue their efforts until the Israeli hostages in Gaza are released.

"THE ISRAELI ARMY IS CHANGING THE FACE OF THE MIDDLE EAST"

Claiming that the Israeli army is "changing the face of the Middle East," Netanyahu asserted that Israel is currently facing the "threat" from Iran. Netanyahu stated, "We are determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and similar arms that could threaten our cities and homeland."

NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN ISRAEL AND HAMAS

Negotiations are ongoing between Israel and Hamas for a prisoner exchange and ceasefire in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accused of not making a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas for political reasons in Israel and the international community. It is estimated that there are 101 Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.
