Following the change of duty at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship, Gürsel Tekin's new assignment was announced. In his statement, Atakan Sönmez reported that Tekin had been appointed as "Coordinator Affiliated with the Office of the Chairman." Sönmez, stating that the appointment was made by CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, used the following statements: "Mr. Gürsel Tekin has been appointed by our Chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, as 'Coordinator Affiliated with the Office of the Chairman.'
