New victims have emerged in the investigation conducted in France into the international prostitution and human trafficking network established by the pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The Paris Public Prosecutor's Office announced that approximately 20 people came forward following a call for victims to "not remain silent," and that 10 of these were new names that had never appeared in the case files before.

A striking development occurred in the investigation in France into the international prostitution and human trafficking network established by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being tried for allegedly running a prostitution ring targeting underage girls in the US. The Paris Prosecutor's Office announced that following public appeals, approximately 10 new victims, not previously listed in the case files, contacted investigators.

"DON'T STAY SILENT" APPEAL YIELDS RESULTS

Paris Chief Prosecutor Laure Beccuau, speaking to RTL radio, said that about 20 people came forward following a "speak up and file complaints" appeal made to victims in February.

Beccuau stated, "Some of the applicants were already known names, but about 10 individuals are completely new victims who never appeared in the investigation files before."

DIGITAL DATA BEING EXAMINED INDIVIDUALLY

It was reported that French investigators deepened the probe after new files were released by the US Department of Justice in January.

Chief Prosecutor Beccuau noted that computer records, phone data, and address books belonging to Epstein are being examined in detail, and all names mentioned in victims' testimonies are being investigated. The importance of international judicial cooperation for advancing the investigation was emphasized.

NO OFFICIAL INTERROGATIONS YET

Jeffrey Epstein's luxury apartment in Paris was searched by French police shortly after his death, as he was found dead in a prison cell in New York in 2019.

French authorities indicated the investigation is focusing particularly on the human trafficking aspect, and due to some victims being abroad, testimony processes are being conducted through international coordination.

Meanwhile, Chief Prosecutor Beccuau announced that none of the potential suspects believed to be connected to the network have been officially interrogated so far.
