New development in the armed attack on Serhat Akın: 2 people have been arrested.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya provided information regarding the armed attack on football commentator Serhat Akın. As a result of the efforts of the Istanbul Police Department concerning the incident that took place in the Kavacık neighborhood of the Beykoz district, it was determined that the individuals believed to be responsible for the incident are E. Ü., M.A., O. D., and O.M. E. Ü. and M.A., who were found to have assisted and abetted, have been apprehended. Efforts are ongoing to capture O.M. and O.D.

Former Fenerbahçe football player, now a football commentator, Serhat Akın was attacked by unidentified individuals with a firearm after his program in Beykoz.

2 PEOPLE ARRESTED

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the armed attack on Serhat Akın.

In a statement made on Minister Yerlikaya's social media account, it was stated, "As a result of the efforts carried out by our Istanbul Police Department regarding the incident in which football commentator Serhat Akın was injured in the Kavacık neighborhood of Beykoz district:

It has been determined that the motorcycle involved in the incident was moving together with a vehicle found at the scene, and efforts have been initiated to capture the suspects. It has been identified that the individuals involved in the incident are E. Ü., M.A., O. D., and O.M. E.Ü. and M.A., who assisted and abetted, have been arrested. Efforts to capture O.M., who was riding the motorcycle, and O.D., who fired the weapon, are still ongoing. Investigations related to the matter are being conducted meticulously."
