He lost his life at Gebze Fatih State Hospital where he was taken. 2 suspects were captured in connection with the attack, and as a result of the extensive work of the police, 9 more suspects were detained in operations carried out in Kocaeli, Istanbul, and Adana. TRACES OF A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION WERE FOUNDThe murder led to another murder committed in Adana in 2020. It was determined that Y. Çoğaç, the brother of Mahir Çoğaç, was the person who shot Bedirhan Bayğara (36), the former leader of the organized crime group called "Bayğaralar," while he was sitting in a cafe with his girlfriend, resulting in his death. It was alleged that the murder of Mahir Çoğaç was connected to the killing of Bedirhan Bayğara and that the incident was carried out for a blood feud. It was claimed that the Bayğaralar targeted Mahir Çoğaç because they couldn't reach anyone from the Çoğaç family.
