In Tunceli, new footage has emerged during the search efforts for 21-year-old Gülistan Doku, who went missing 6 years ago, involving the investigation in which former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, who said, "I am the state's governor, I will not give a statement at the police," was detained.
In Tunceli, the former Chief Physician of Tunceli State Hospital, Çağdaş Özdemir, was arrested yesterday and sent to prison due to the "deletion of hospital records" in the investigation regarding the murder of Gülistan Doku.

The former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, whose statement was completed at the Erzurum Police Department, was also referred to the courthouse. It was learned that Sonel said, "I am the governor of the state, I will not give a statement at the police."

In the investigation regarding university student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing since January 5, 2020, Tuncay Sonel's son Mustafa Türkay Sonel was arrested on Saturday night.
15 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED
In the investigation conducted by the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of "intentional killing," "sexual assault," "concealment-destruction of crime evidence," "illegally accessing a computer system to destroy-alter data," "deprivation of liberty," "failure to report a crime," and "aiding a criminal," 15 suspects, including the then Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, were detained.
11 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
Among the suspects, Tuncay Sonel's son Mustafa Türkay Sonel, former police officer Gökhan Ertok, who is accused of deleting data from Doku's SIM card, former Tunceli Special Administration employee Erdoğan Elaldı, Celal Altaş, Nurşen Arıkan, Ferhat Hanedan Güven, Doku's boyfriend Zeinal Abakarov, her mother Cemile Yücer, and her stepfather Engin Yücer, who is also a former police officer, along with Şükrü Eroğlu, who was Sonel's protection officer at that time, and former chief physician Çağdaş Özdemir were arrested; Uğurcan A. and Savaş G. and Süleyman Ö., who were responsible for the security cameras of Munzur University, were released under judicial control with a travel ban imposed on them.
