The CerModern Museum in Ankara this winter season is home to a monthly film screening program that offers a sampling of contemporary German cinema.
This month's offering in the program is “Uber-Ich und Du” (Superegos), a 2014 comedy that debuted at last year's Berlin International Film Festival. Written and directed by Benjamin Heisenberg, “Uber-Ich und Du” follows an elderly psychotherapist and a shrewd criminal, both self-centered characters, as they build an uneasy friendship.
The 94-minute film will be shown Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.
Held in collaboration with Goethe Institut-Ankara, the screening program presents films in their original language with subtitles in Turkish.
Next in the program is “Zeit der Kannibalen” (Age of Cannibals), a drama that also premiered at the 2014 Berlin film festival, which will be shown on Feb. 24.
