Tense hours are unfolding in Ankara. While security teams continue to wait for clearance in front of the CHP headquarters, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's press advisor Atakan Sönmez stated, "Kemal Bey is the Chairman of both sides of the door; Kemal Bey was the most disturbed by such a scene."
Following the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's 'absolute nullity' ruling regarding the CHP congress case, police teams are attempting to negotiate with the CHP administration for the evacuation of the CHP headquarters. While security forces continue their wait in front of the headquarters, a new statement has come from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's side.
"KEMAL BEY IS THE MOST DISTURBED BY THIS IMAGE"
Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP leadership post with the 'absolute nullity' decision, his press advisor Atakan Sönmez said in a new statement, "Kemal Bey stated that the court decision must be complied with; that the principle of the rule of law should be followed and a stance should be taken. Because Kemal Bey is the Chairman of both sides of the door; Kemal Bey is the most disturbed by such an image."
KILIÇDAROĞLU: LET THE COURT DECISION BE IMPLEMENTED
In his statement earlier this morning through Sönmez, Kılıçdaroğlu also emphasized that the court decision should be implemented.
The statement read, "I request that all judicial officers, security personnel, and all public officials attempting to act in accordance with the decision rendered by the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber comply with the requirements of the court decision regarding all organizations of the Republican People's Party. I also request that no actions or behaviors contrary to organizational culture and discipline be taken. Necessary measures will be taken regarding those who act against instructions."
WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THE HEADQUARTERS?
Following the Ankara Governorship's instruction to the Ankara Police Department for the evacuation of the CHP headquarters in line with the court decision, police teams have initiated negotiation attempts with party members. Police teams, who spoke with CHP Deputy Murat Emir and those with him in the headquarters garden, continue their wait for the evacuation.
Police teams are expected to enter along with enforcement officers.
"WE REPELLED THEM, IF THEY TRY AGAIN, WE WILL REPEL THEM AGAIN"
Speaking to the press in the headquarters garden, CHP's Murat Emir said, "We have always been in favor of communication. We know how to protect our ancestral home. But we said, 'We are not hesitant to conduct important critical meetings regarding our ancestral home on any ground.' However, disregarding this process, they tried to enter this morning with mafia-like people who have no connection to being CHP members, in a challenging and bullying manner. We prevented this, we repelled them. If they try again, we will repel them again."
Emphasizing that they are striving to ensure no disrespect is shown to any security personnel and that party members inside are not harmed, Emir stated the following:
"We negotiated to meet today at noon. We made an effort to meet somewhere, not at the headquarters, to talk about these issues, especially to discuss the congress date and reach a resolution. We made the necessary effort so that Turkey and the CHP would not experience such a day. We consider setting aside that process and today's meetings, acting as if no agreement was made, and showing up at the CHP's door this morning with some people based on phone calls made last night, as bullying. We absolutely do not accept the claim that they came here for dialogue."
