A leak was detected in one of the wagons containing nitric acid on train number E68034 carrying freight from Eskişehir to Kayseri, at Boğazköprü Railway Station in Kocasinan district. Police, fire brigade, AFAD and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. Teams in special suits checked all wagons; the wagon with the leak was separated from the train and quarantined. No one was affected by the chemical.
The detection of a chemical leak on a train carrying freight from Eskişehir to Kayseri prompted teams to take action.
LEAK DETECTED AT THE STATION
According to the information obtained, when freight train number E68034 carrying cargo from Eskişehir to Kayseri arrived at Boğazköprü Train Station in Kocasinan district, officials detected a leak in one of the wagons containing nitric acid.
TEAMS IN SPECIAL PROTECTIVE SUITS CHECKED ALL WAGONS
Following the notification, police, fire brigade, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. All wagons on the train were checked by teams in special protective suits against the possibility of a leak.
While the wagon with the chemical leak was separated from the train and placed under quarantine, no one was affected by the chemical in the incident.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
