Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk reacted to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) regarding the fixture after the match against AZ Alkmaar, which ended in a 1-1 draw, in the 5th week of the UEFA Europa League.

"WHY ONLY GALATASARAY?"

Okan Buruk's statements on the matter are as follows;

"We are all surprised by the fixture. Three teams are playing on the same day, and only Galatasaray is playing three days later. I wonder why Galatasaray is the only team scheduled to play three days later in the fixture set by the TFF. We applied to play on Monday, and when that didn't work, we asked to play on Tuesday. After all, this is a national issue. If you want points in Europe, why are you making Galatasaray play three days later when there are no midweek matches? Why are you putting us at risk of injury? We are already going through a busy schedule.

"I SEE BAD INTENTIONS"

Of course, we are not complaining; we will go out and play like lions, but I see bad intentions here. It is very surprising that the TFF has determined such a fixture. I mentioned it in the Kasımpaşa match as well; there is a poor organization. If you really want to support Turkish teams, you must be fair. I expect this fairness."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Galatasaray applied to the Turkish Football Federation to postpone the match against Eyüpspor, which is scheduled to be played on Sunday, December 1, in the 14th week of the Trendyol Super League, to Monday, December 2, but the federation rejected this request.
