Olympique Marseille and Alexis Sanchez have agreed on a transfer in principle, the French football club confirmed Tuesday.
"The Chilean international with 143 caps, who won 17 trophies in his career, will commit himself to Olympique in the next few hours after passing his medical tests," Olympique Marseille said in a statement.
Sanchez formerly made appearances for Udinese, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United
The 33-year-old forward helped Barcelona win the La Liga title, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
With his nation, Sanchez clinched the Copa America trophy twice, in 2015 and 2016.
He is also Chile's top scorer with 48 goals in 146 matches. -
