Oman and the Netherlands on Tuesday called for the use of peaceful means to resolve the region's various crises, according to the official Oman News Agency (ONA).
The joint appeal was issued during talks between Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi and Dutch counterpart Sigrid Kaag in capital Muscat.
At the meeting, the two men exchanged views on recent regional and international developments, ONA reported.
According to the news agency, both men expressed their countries' desire "to resolve regional crises peacefully with a view to achieving security, peace and stability".
The foreign ministers also discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of logistics, transport, energy, tourism and water management.
Kaag, who is currently on a wider tour of the region, arrived in Oman earlier Tuesday from Saudi Arabia. -
