One Killed İn Lebanon Refugee Camp

Lebanese security report an attack between two groups in the Palestinian refugee camp.

One was killed and four more injured in Lebanon during an attack at a Palestinian refugee camp, field hospital sources said Saturday.



The Lebanese security explained that an armed fight took place between the Fetih movement and terrorist Daesh-linked Bilal Bedr group in Ayn el-Hilve refugee camp in the country's south.



A Palestinian senior official in the camp said units linked to the Fetih movement attacked the area controlled by the Daesh-linked Bilal Bedr group.



Those affected by the conflict, have been resettled to more secure places in the camp.



The leader of the Bilal Bedr group allegedly has sheltered in the camp in response to previous conflicts two months ago, resulting in a number of casualties, according to field hospital sources.



Also, six people were killed and 40 were injured during another gun battle in the camp, that continued of days, between the same groups in April.



On Friday, leaders of the Palestinian groups assembled for peace in the camp, field hospital sources stated.



Approximately 460,000 people live in Lebanon's 12 Palestinian refugee camps, according to United Nations figures. Security for the camps is provided by Palestinian groups. Armed conflicts are historical between groups in Ayn el-Hilve camp, where 100,000 refugees live. -
