The feared event occurred in the Middle East as Iran launched an attack on Israel with nearly 200 missiles. In the assaults utilizing hypersonic Fettah-1 missiles, Israel's air defense systems were rendered ineffective, and one of the missiles fell just 150 meters away from the MOSSAD headquarters. The fallen missile created a crater 9 meters deep and 15 meters wide.

Iran launched a missile attack on Israel in the evening hours. In a written statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was reported that a missile attack was carried out against Israel, which targets Iran's national security. It was stated that the attack was in response to Israeli strikes that killed Hamas leader Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Nasrallah, and Iranian general Nilfuraşan.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message on his social media account hours after Iran's missile attack. Netanyahu claimed that Iran's missile attack was "unsuccessful" and thanked the U.S. for its support in intercepting the missiles. He asserted that Iran made a "big mistake" with its missile attack and that Tehran would "pay the price" for it. Netanyahu expressed that they would respond to Iran, stating, "Whoever attacks us, we will attack them." The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had launched an attack on Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles. Sirens had sounded across the country, especially in Tel Aviv, following the missile launches.

ISRAEL DEFENSE FORCES STATEMENT

In a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was said, "A short time ago, missiles were launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. The Home Front Command has distributed life-saving instructions to various regions of the country. The public is asked to comply with the directives of the Home Front Command and to enter the protected area when an alarm sounds and remain there until further instructions. The IDF is doing and will do everything necessary to protect the citizens of the State of Israel."

"WE WILL RESPOND AT THE RIGHT TIME"

Following Iran's missile attack, IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari held a press conference. Hagari stated that Israel would respond to Iran's missile attack, saying, "We are on high alert for defense and offense. There will be consequences for this missile attack. We will protect Israeli citizens and respond to Iranian missiles at the appropriate place and time." He mentioned that there is currently no other threat from Iran towards Israel and that the missile attack has ended, stating, "At this stage, we are still assessing the attack," and noted that it is not yet known if there have been any casualties. After the missile attack, Israelis were informed that they could leave the shelters.

WARNING FROM IRAN TO ISRAEL: A MORE DESTRUCTIVE RESPONSE WILL COME

Iran's Permanent Mission to the UN stated that a response was given to Israel's national security violations, saying, "If the Zionist regime attempts to respond, a more destructive response will come." The Iranian Permanent Mission shared a message on its social media account regarding the issue. It was stated that Iran had given a "legal, reasonable, and legitimate response" to the terrorist activities of the "Zionist regime," and that Israel had targeted Iranian citizens and violated the country's sovereignty. The message warned, "If the Zionist regime attempts to respond, a more destructive response will come," and called on regional countries and "the regime's supporters" to sever ties with Israel.

IRANIAN PRESIDENT: DO NOT ENGAGE IN CONFLICT WITH IRAN

Iranian President Pezeshkian stated in a message shared on his X social media account that the missile attacks against Israel were carried out "on the basis of legitimate rights for the peace and security of Iran and the region." He expressed that they had given a "decisive response" to Israel's aggression, noting that these attacks were carried out to defend Iran's interests and citizens. In his message, Pezeshkian stated: "Netanyahu should know that Iran is not seeking war, but will respond decisively to every threat. This was only a part of our strength. Do not engage in conflict with Iran."

"WE TARGETED STRATEGIC MILITARY FACILITIES IN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES"

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps published its second statement regarding the missile attacks on Israel. The statement said that in the operation called "Real Promise-2," "strategic military facilities in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel were targeted, and despite being protected by extensive defense systems, they were hit with a success rate of 90%." It was also reported that air bases and military centers where assassinations of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian general Abbas Nilfuraşan were planned were also targeted.

It was recorded that the operation was carried out "within the framework of the right to self-defense and based on international law, and that a destructive and regretful response would be given to the enemies' every folly."

"IRAN MAY USE THE RIGHT TO LEGITIMATE SELF-DEFENSE AGAIN TO PROTECT ITS INTERESTS"

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a statement regarding the "Real Promise 2" operation. The statement indicated that Iran exercised its right to legitimate self-defense, stating, "The Zionist Israeli regime has carried out missile attacks on military facilities of the Israeli regime in response to the attacks targeting Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the martyrdom of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrullah, and Revolutionary Guards commander Abbas Nilfuruşan." The statement noted that Iran conducted the "Real Promise 2" operation for regional peace and security, emphasizing that Israel continues its massacres in Lebanon and Gaza. It was mentioned that Iran did not target civilian residential areas in the operation, stating, "Unlike the attacks of the Zionist Israeli regime targeting civilian settlements and infrastructure systems, military facilities belonging to the regime were targeted in this operation." The statement expressed that arms assistance to Israel should be stopped and that the war crimes committed by Israel in the region should be prevented, stating, "If necessary, Iran can again exercise its right to legitimate self-defense to protect its national interests and is ready to respond to military threats against the country's sovereignty."

ORDER FROM BIDEN TO THE U.S. MILITARY: DEFEND ISRAEL

Following Iran's attack on Israel, U.S. President Joe Biden made a statement. Biden announced that he had instructed the U.S. military to defend Israel against Iranian attacks and to strike missiles targeting Israel. The White House also added that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were monitoring Iran's attacks on Israel from the White House Situation Room and were receiving regular updates from the national security team.
