A heartbreaking accident occurred last night on Democracy Boulevard in Gültepe Neighborhood, Batman. An automobile driven by M.S.K. (40) hit Fikriye Çetin (65) and Fidan Özerdem, who were trying to cross the road. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

ONE DIED WHILE CROSSING, THE OTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED

It was determined that Fikriye Çetin died at the scene, while Fidan Özerdem was taken to Batman Training and Research Hospital after the initial intervention by health teams. It was learned that Özerdem's life-threatening condition continues.

Çetin's body was buried in Site Cemetery after the autopsy procedures. M.S.K., who was detained at the accident scene, is still undergoing procedures at the police station.

It was learned that the duo met with students in Konak village, connected to Gercüş, a day before the accident, provided them with clothing assistance, and treated them to hamburgers.
