The wedding of Kalina Marie and her husband Shane, who live in the state of Oregon, America, unexpectedly turned into a sad moment. The couple encountered empty chairs when they entered the wedding hall with their sons.

For the last 10 months, the couple had been making great preparations for their masquerade-themed wedding, sending digital invitations to over 75 people and special printed invitations to 25 people. However, only 5 people attended on the wedding day.

Kalina Marie shared her experience on social media, saying: "The invitation said 1:00 PM. My mother texted at 1:15 PM saying no one had come. When we arrived at 2:00 PM, there were only 5 people in the hall that could accommodate 40. All the prepared food and drinks went to waste."

The couple, who have been together for nine years and got engaged this January, stated that they could not understand why the guests did not come. Moreover, most of the absent guests did not even send congratulatory messages.

The wedding footage, which has been viewed over 7 million times on TikTok, sparked a huge debate on social media. Many users reacted, saying, "How can people say they will come to the wedding and then not show up?"
