Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made statements regarding the Kuyu operation. In a statement on his social media account, Yerlikaya announced that 46 suspects were apprehended and 29 of them were arrested during the operations carried out by the gendarmerie in November. Yerlikaya also stated that a judicial control decision was issued for 15 suspects, and the procedures for 2 suspects are still ongoing, while listing the crimes the suspects are being investigated for as follows: "Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing Crimes, Qualified Robbery, Attempted Murder, Intentional Injury, Threat and Blackmail, Deliberately Endangering General Security, Damaging Property, Depriving a Person of Their Liberty, Usury, Human Trafficking, and Violating Law No. 6136." "UNLICENSED PISTOLS AND DRUGS SEIZED"As a result of the operations, unlicensed pistols, numerous cutting/stabbing tools, narcotic substances, and a large amount of foreign currency and Turkish Lira were seized. "THEY WERE LEFT BREATHLESS"In the continuation of his statement, Yerlikaya said, "The breath of organized crime groups has been cut off. Nevertheless, we continue our struggle with determination and resolve without stopping or pausing. We do not give any opportunity to any organized crime group that is arrogant in crime and sees itself above the law."
