Orhun Ene Signs To Head Turkish National B-Ball Team

The Turkish Basketball Federation appointed Orhun Ene as the new head coach of the national team.

"We have a difficult period ahead. We are a team that values the national jersey very much. Working hard until Friday, we will win the game against Croatia and renew our self-confidence," Ene said in the signing ceremony on Monday.

The new head coach also said that he played for the National Team A for years and worked in all levels of coaching, adding that he still feels the excitement he had when he was called to the national team.

Omer Onan, the CEO of the Turkish Basketball Federation said he believes that Ene would achieve great success with the national team both in this process and for years to come.

Turkey will be hosting the upcoming EuroBasket Qualifiers for Group D at Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul.

The Turkish team will host Croatia and The Netherlands on Nov. 27 and 29 respectively.
