While the group meeting crisis in CHP continues, it was learned that CHP Group Leader Özgür Özel will go to Manisa with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş after the meeting. The two figures will attend a memorial program for Ferdi Zeyrek, the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor who passed away last year.
The debates and security measures before the group meeting of the CHP in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) were among the most notable developments of the day. Following the announcement that CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel would hold separate group meetings, there was increased activity around the Parliament.
Speaking to party members in front of the TBMM Dikmen Gate, Özgür Özel criticized Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu without naming him. Özel said, "If you think you can hold a group meeting with some crowds of a thousand people, the representatives of millions of people here will step in and ruin your game."

Addressing the crowd gathered in front of the Parliament, Özel thanked the party members and stated, "If you think you can derive legitimacy from some assembled crowds of a thousand people, these courageous people will step in and ruin that game."
Özel also noted that the Parliament Presidency had imposed a visitor ban for group meetings to prevent negative scenes.
It was announced that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu would hold his group meeting at the CHP headquarters at 14:00.
