At the 99th hearing of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) case, detained Ekrem İmamoğlu, who made his defense, chatted remotely with New Party Chairman Özgür Özel after the hearing. Özel, recounting the details of the conversation, relayed that İmamoğlu said, "Everything will be very beautiful." Özel, noting that İmamoğlu joked by saying that if his defense had not been prolonged, he was considering attending the congress, said that Özgür Çelik had also invited him to vote on Sunday.
At the 99th hearing of the case regarding the "İmamoğlu profit-oriented criminal organization", in which 436 defendants, 53 of whom are detained, are being tried, Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his post as Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) after his detention, made his defense.
New Party Chairman Özgür Özel, who followed the hearing, and İmamoğlu chatted remotely after the hearing ended.

As Özel was leaving the courtroom, in response to journalists' question about what he and İmamoğlu talked about, he said, "First of all, he greeted his family, friends, and us. He said, 'Everything will be very beautiful.' He thanked everyone here for listening so attentively. He wished Chairman Özgür (Çelik) success in Saturday's election. He said that his defense might take longer, and that if it had not taken longer, he was thinking of going to the congress. Chairman Özgür also invited him to vote on Sunday."
