By court decision, CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress was canceled and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was reinstated as CHP Chairman. POLICE BROKE THE DOORS AND ENTERED
Riot police units broke the chains at the parking lot entrance of CHP Headquarters, then broke the locked iron door and entered the building.
It was reported that police used pepper spray inside the building, and party members inside were affected by the gas. Tear gas canisters were also used during the intervention.
The interior of the headquarters was covered with smoke due to the gas, while it was stated that police teams removed press members and the building's electricity was cut off.
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL TORE THE NOTICE
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was reported to be on the 12th floor of the headquarters during the events. Özel tore up the evacuation notice delivered to him, saying, "They tore down the paternal home for this."
Özgür Özel, leaving the headquarters saying "I am leaving to return," began walking toward the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
