In France, according to the unofficial results of the early general elections, the New People's Front became the alliance that reached the highest number of seats in the National Assembly. THEY CELEBRATED THEIR FIRST PLACE FROM THE BALLOT BOXGathered at Republic Square in Paris against the far right, the demonstrators celebrated the first place of the left alliance in the ballot box. Carrying French and Palestinian flags and banners with the slogans "The Far Right Cannot Pass from Paris to Gaza", "There is No Place for Fascists in Our Neighborhoods" and "Revolution", the demonstrators shouted slogans against the far-right National Union (RN) and fascism. TENSION INCREASED SUDDENLYIn the beginning, the demonstration went on in a festive atmosphere, but tension increased between the police and the protesters in the later hours. Some protesters set fire to items such as bicycles, while others threw fireworks and different objects at the police. PEPPER GAS INTERVENTIONThe police chased after the protesters to disperse them and intervened with pepper gas. Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the burning bicycles in the middle of the street.
