President Erdoğan announced it as a "historic step": The 34-letter common alphabet is ready.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the 11th Summit of the Turkish States Organization (TDT) Heads of State Council in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Erdoğan also made statements regarding the Common Turkish Alphabet project here.

Emphasizing that the common alphabet for the Turkish world is a symbol of a shared future and a step towards the future, President Erdoğan stated, "On this occasion, especially under the coordination of the white-bearded elders, the common alphabet work aimed at developing a common language was completed in September 2024. A consensus was reached on the 34-letter alphabet. Members need to complete the necessary transformation with this alphabet." he said.

"We celebrated the 15th anniversary of our organization, which aims to build a common future. I feel fortunate to present you with Gaspıralı's commemorative coin. I pray to my Lord that the Summit will be a blessing for the Turkish world. Our organization has become a platform that strengthens the climate of stability and prosperity and is taken as an example.

The strong will that will ensure the Turkish world remains eternal is present in all my friends at this table. We will take our organization much further. The doors to peace have been opened after the 30-year conflict in the South Caucasus. We hope that Azerbaijan's historical gains will soon be solidified at the table with a peace agreement.

"THE UN CANNOT EVEN MAKE A DECISION, OR RATHER DOES NOT WANT TO"

The international community is failing a bad test in stopping the genocide, especially in Gaza. The UN Security Council cannot even make a decision, or rather does not want to. Netanyahu's racist mentality intends to displace the Palestinians. The number of deaths in Lebanon has approached 3,000 in one year, and the number of those displaced has approached 1 million. As Turkey, we do not accept these massacres. We are making every effort to establish lasting peace.

"WE STAND BY THE PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN"

From the very beginning of the war, we support a negotiation process where both sides are at the table for a just peace. It is important for us as Turkish states to support peace. We do not see the stability of our geography separately from the developments in Afghanistan. We stand by the Afghan people. The interim administration's adherence to human rights will open new doors for them.
