President Erdogan called Iran's new President-elect, Ebrahim Raisi, on the phone. Erdogan congratulated Raisi on his victory in the elections.

The Presidency's Communication Directorate stated the following in a statement: "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had a phone conversation with Iran's President-elect, Ebrahim Raisi. During the conversation, Turkish-Iranian bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.

President Erdogan expressed his belief that Turkish-Iranian relations will continue to develop in all areas in the new era, drawing strength from their deep-rooted history. President Erdogan congratulated Raisi on his election victory and wished him success in his new role."
