President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is speaking at the "Groundbreaking Ceremony of the New Nicosia State Hospital and the Opening Ceremony of the Nicosia North Ring Road Interchange" in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

Esteemed guests, I greet you with affection. I congratulate you on the TRNC's freedom holiday. We were together in May. By inaugurating the campus we are currently in, we have stamped this land once again. We have made significant progress in all the projects I mentioned at Teknofest. Today, we are here with new investment announcements.

We have written an epic of peace together with the Turkish Cypriots. Today, on the 51st anniversary of the peace epic, we are making inaugurations. With the principle that "Road is civilization," we continue our efforts to strengthen the transportation infrastructure of the TRNC. Heavy vehicles coming from the industrial zone will no longer enter the city. A total of 77 million lira will be saved from fuel, amounting to 2 billion 177 million lira. Traffic load will decrease, air quality will improve, and Nicosia will breathe.

Today, we are also laying the foundation for the first phase of the new state hospital with a capacity of 320 beds. It will have 110 intensive care beds and 80 outpatient clinics. All facilities have been considered for our healthcare workers. We have made the largest healthcare investment in the TRNC. We are always by the side of the TRNC. We hope to inaugurate our hospital together. We have done what befits Turkey. We are doing everything to ensure that the TRNC has a strong and confident infrastructure in every field.

We can do it. We said we would bring water from Turkey under the sea, and we did. The TRNC has initiated a development leap. We have implemented projects in areas such as transportation and health. In the last 2 years, we have provided resources amounting to 37 billion lira for your benefit. I am a president who sees these projects as the foundation of a country's development. We have put the Girne military hospital into service.

We will soon start the construction of the Pamukova state hospital. In addition to hospital investments, we are nearing completion of health centers for our brothers living in villages and rural areas. During our next visit, we will also inaugurate those works. We have provided significant support to strengthen the TRNC through data security efforts in the field of digitalization. We have paved the way for faster processing. With fiber infrastructure initiatives, we are taking this process to the next step. The century-long water longing of the TRNC has ended. We have made the TRNC the shining star of the Eastern Mediterranean. We are taking revolutionary steps in agricultural irrigation.

Work is ongoing for the establishment of Family Support Centers and Social Service Centers. Every step we take is not just a building or a road, but a symbol of our brotherhood and our shared belief in a common future.

We are here for the unity of the Turkish Cypriots, and we will always be here. We are in complete harmony in building the political and economic future of the TRNC. We say, "With the crescent and star, we are on the same path." Our support for the vision of a two-state solution is complete. Diplomatic, political, and economic relations should be established with the TRNC. Injustice against the Turkish Cypriots must end. No matter which door they close to obstruct the Turkish Cypriots, we have always found new doors to open and new paths to take.

Once again, I congratulate you on the July 20 Peace and Freedom Day.
