President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to New York City, USA, to attend the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) and to hold various meetings. SHE WAS THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF THE CENTRAL BANKHafize Gaye Erkan, who was the first female president of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, had resigned from her position at the beginning of February. Her assistant, Fatih Karahan, was appointed as her successor.
