President Erdoğan went to Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is part of Russia, for the BRICS Summit. During the summit, President Erdoğan met with Russian President Putin. In his statement here, Erdoğan said regarding the treacherous terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, "We have 4 martyrs and 14 injured. I condemn this heinous terrorist attack and wish God's mercy upon our martyrs." Russian President Putin also condemned the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ during his meeting with President Erdoğan and conveyed his condolences. HEINOUS ATTACK ON TUSAŞAt around 15:30, an armed and bomb attack was carried out by unidentified individuals at the TUSAŞ facility located in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara. It was reported that personnel were directed to shelters for safety. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç provided the following information in a statement on his social media account: "I strongly condemn and denounce the terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries facility located in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara. An official investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the heinous terrorist attack, and 1 chief public prosecutor and 8 public prosecutors have been assigned. I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs and urgent healing for the injured." PERSONNEL SENT TO SHELTERSAfter the explosion at the entrance gate of TUSAŞ-Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. located on Aviation Boulevard in Kahramankazan, Ankara, gunfire was heard. It was reported that personnel were directed to shelters for safety. Security forces, firefighters, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was noted that clashes between security forces and terrorists were still ongoing. There are reports that hostages are present in the facilities.
