President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, with an official ceremony during his visit to Turkey. Al Thani greeted the Presidential Guard Ceremony Troops by saying, "Hello, soldiers."

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, was greeted by horsemen on the street in front of the Presidential Complex, who accompanied the vehicle to the protocol entrance. President Erdoğan welcomed Al Thani at the main entrance of the complex. After Erdoğan and Al Thani took their places in the ceremony area, national anthems were played accompanied by 21 cannon shots.

HE ADDRESSED THE SOLDIERS IN TURKISH

Al Thani greeted the Guard Brigade Ceremony Troops by saying, "Hello soldiers." The ceremony also featured flags and soldiers representing the 16 Turkish states established throughout history. Erdoğan and Al Thani introduced their delegations to each other, shook hands in front of the Turkish and Qatari flags on the stairs, and posed for the press. President Erdoğan and Al Thani then proceeded to a bilateral meeting.

The ceremony was also attended by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, President's Communication Director Fahrettin Altun, MIT President İbrahim Kalın, and the President's Chief Security and Foreign Policy Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç, as well as Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin.
