In the Birecik district of Şanlıurfa, Prof. Dr. Devrim Özkan, a faculty member at Gaziantep University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, was detained on charges of threatening and assaulting a female lawyer with whom he lived in the same building, as well as her mother. Özkan was arrested by the court he was brought before and was sent to prison for the crimes of assault and threatening with a weapon.
Prof. Dr. Devrim Özkan, who was detained on the allegation of assaulting two women in the Birecik district of Şanlıurfa, was arrested by the duty magistrate to whom he was referred.
ALLEGATION OF "PROFESSOR ASSAULTING MOTHER AND DAUGHTER"
Lawyer N.B.Ç. and her mother L.Ö filed a criminal complaint with the Birecik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Prof. Dr. Devrim Özkan, a faculty member of Gaziantep University Faculty of Fine Arts, on charges of threats and assault.
SENT TO PRISON
Prof. Dr. Özkan, who was detained, was arrested by the duty magistrate at the courthouse after the procedures at the police department, on charges of "assault and armed threats."
