Protest that led to the closure of the Parliament! Visitor ban imposed until July 30th.

During the discussions of the stray dog regulation in the commission, a group insulted AK Party deputies and filled the corridors with slogans. After President Erdogan's reaction of "necessary measures should be taken to prevent such rudeness from happening again", a visitor ban was imposed on the Parliament until July 30th.

The discussions of the street animal regulation in the Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) have caused great controversy, while the protest demonstrations in the corridors of the Parliament have also sparked reactions.

The footage of a large group targeting the deputies in the corridors of the TBMM and shouting "Murderer" slogans during the protest demonstration had received intense criticism from the ruling party.

ERDOĞAN: WE CANNOT APPROVE 3-5 MARGINALS

President Erdoğan, who strongly reacted to the protest demonstrations, also stated during the AK Party's group meeting, "We cannot approve the disruption of the Parliament's work by 3-5 marginal characters making noise. This is a heroic Parliament. No one can cast a shadow over the glory and position of this heroic Parliament. Necessary measures should be taken to prevent such impudence from happening again."

4-DAY VISITOR BAN

After President Erdoğan's strong reaction to the protests, an interesting development took place today. The entrance of visitors to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has been banned for 4 days. In the announcement sent by the General Secretariat of the TBMM to the deputies, it was stated that "due to the intensity of the agenda, visitor and vehicle entry to the TBMM, except for officials, will not be allowed between 26-29 July in order for the deputies to participate more effectively in the General Assembly activities."
