During the meeting, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey would continue its resolute stance against the PKK terrorist organization and its affiliates, which are trying to take advantage of the latest developments in Syria, and stated that Turkey is making every effort to ensure peace in Syria. PUTIN'S STRIKING REQUESTCNN Türk's U.S. correspondent Yunus Paksoy shared an important detail that was not mentioned in the statement regarding the meeting between President Erdoğan and Putin, made by the Directorate of Communications. Paksoy claimed in a post attributed to the Kremlin that during the conversation, Putin told Erdoğan that "the aggression of terrorist groups against the Syrian government must be stopped as soon as possible."
