The series "Kuruluş Osman," which changed direction with Burak Özçivit's farewell, has renewed both its cast and its name before the new season. The production, which features Mert Yazıcıoğlu in the role of Orhan Bey, will now be presented to the audience under the title "Yükseliş Orhan."
The series Kuruluş Osman, which entered a new era with Burak Özçivit's farewell, continues its journey by changing its name to Yükseliş Orhan. Before the 7th season, both the storyline and the cast undergo a profound transformation, shifting the focus of the series from Osman Bey to Orhan Bey.
MERT YAZICIOĞLU BECAME ORHAN BEY
Mert Yazıcıoğlu has unexpectedly joined the beloved period drama on ATV screens. The young actor, who recently received acclaim for his performance in the series "Kızıl Goncalar," will portray the character of Orhan Bey, the son of Osman Bey, the founding sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
The producer Bozdağ Film announced this significant transfer through their social media accounts, also declaring that the series would bring a new breath with a significant time jump.
THE STORY CHANGES WITH A TIME JUMP
With the time jump that will occur in the new season, the script will also cover a different period. The series will now focus on the early years of the Ottoman institutionalization, and both themes and characters will undergo a major transformation. This change is reflected not only in the story but also in the cast.
BURAK ÖZÇİVİT LEFT, CİHAN ÜNAL IS COMING
Burak Özçivit, who has been in the lead role as Osman Bey since 2019, bid farewell to the project due to a salary dispute of 4 million TL per episode. The production company reached an agreement with veteran actor Cihan Ünal due to the transition to the character's old age.
Now, the center of the series will not be young Osman but adult Orhan Bey. Therefore, the production company chose Mert Yazıcıoğlu after meeting with many names for the Orhan character.
FAREWELL TO YOUNG ACTORS: LEYA KIRŞAN LEFT
As a natural result of the time jump, some characters will be portrayed by other actors in their older forms. For this reason, young actress Leya Kırşan, who played the character Fatma Hatun, left the series due to age criteria. A different name will appear before the audience in the new season instead of the 17-year-old actress.
NEW NAME, NEW ERA: YÜKSELİŞ ORHAN
Following all these developments, the name of the series has also changed. "Kuruluş Osman" has given way to the name "Yükseliş Orhan." Social media users welcomed Mert Yazıcıoğlu's participation, and many viewers stated that they decided to watch the series after this transfer.
The new season is expected to create a significant impact with both its cast and historical narrative. The series, which will focus on the rise of the Ottoman Empire, will meet the audience on ATV screens in September with its new name.
