Meanwhile, Mehmet Yaroğlu, the Istanbul Provincial President of the Anatolian Youth Association, stated, "Our brothers from the AGD University Commission are inside the ship. There are people in custody."

Additionally, human rights lawyers in Berlin, the capital of Germany, had applied to the court, requesting that the German cargo ship 'MV Kathrin,' which was reported to be carrying 150 tons of military-grade explosives for Israel's largest defense contractor, be stopped.
