Rain obstacle to air transportation in Istanbul! 5% of flights will be cancelled at Sabiha Gökçen.

Following the strong rainfall warning issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology for many provinces, including Istanbul, in the Marmara Region, the first cancellation news has arrived. It has been announced that 5% of the flights at Sabiha Gökçen Airport will be cancelled until 15.00 tomorrow.

Due to the expected heavy rainfall in Istanbul tomorrow, 5% of flights at Sabiha Gökçen Airport will be canceled.

After weeks of scorching heat, Istanbul received refreshing news from the General Directorate of Meteorology. The Meteorology announced that heavy rainfall is expected in many cities, including Istanbul, starting from today in the Marmara Region.

Following the warning from the Meteorology, precautions have also been taken in the megacity. 5% of flights scheduled for tomorrow at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport have been canceled. The statement included the following: "Due to the adverse weather conditions expected at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 5% of flights until 15:00 on 26.07.2024 will be canceled. Passengers are advised to follow the latest updates on their flights from the respective airline."
