Tension rose at the CHP headquarters following a court order for evacuation. After police intervened with pepper spray, Özgür Özel left the building and marched with party members to the Turkish Parliament; from Kılıçdaroğlu's side, a reaction came: "Those who close the door to dialogue are responsible."

There were hectic hours at the Republican People's Party (CHP) headquarters. Following a court decision ordering the evacuation of the building, Ankara Police Department teams entered the party building.

An altercation broke out between police teams and party supporters waiting inside and in the garden. Security forces intervened against the crowd in the building with pepper spray.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL LEFT THE HEADQUARTERS AND MARCHED TO THE TURKISH GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Shortly after the scuffle, Özgür Özel, who was temporarily suspended from his duties as CHP Chairman by the court, left the headquarters building. Addressing the crowd waiting in front of the party building, Özel, after his statement, began a march with party supporters towards the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Expressing his deep sorrow over the process, Özel stated: "Everyone does what suits them. We do what suits the CHP. I am very sad, but we are setting out to reclaim a father's hearth. When we come back here again, this government and its collaborators will not dare to do this."

REACTION FROM THE KILIÇDAROĞLU FRONT: RESPONSIBILITY LIES WITH THOSE WHO CLOSED THE DOOR TO DIALOGUE

A notable statement came from the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu camp, where attention turned after the developments. CHP Kütahya Deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap, who did not attend the meeting where Özgür Özel was elected group chairman and continues to support Kılıçdaroğlu, reacted to the events.

In a statement on his social media account, Kasap summarized the process with these words: "We wanted to enter the CHP headquarters and talk only with our fellow deputies and Party Assembly members. However, we were prevented from entering by locked doors and barriers. And we retreated... The responsibility for the subsequent events lies with those who closed the door to dialogue. Don't be pessimistic; we will win together."
